Two great passions to delight in as a family in
Franche-Comté are the environment and gastronomy,
so you can enjoy a stay combining sustainable
development with the pleasures of the table.
Careful to hold on to and nurture its nature, the region
has always cared lovingly for its orchards, meadows,
forests and rivers, so that the beauty of its landscapes
and the authenticity of its flavours continue to last.
So, breathe deeply, ready your taste buds and really
savour the nature in Franche-Comté! |

an educational exhibition where you can take
the time to taste firstly with the eyes, to
touch, listen to foods crunch as you bite
them, to identify kitchen noises…

The Saint-Antoine fort is a fine example of
pacifist (and gourmet) conversion of military
installations. Built at the end of the 19th century
to hold a garrison of 400 men, the galleries
and strongholds of the fort today house
65,000 wheels of Comté cheese. A veritable
stone cathedral where the cheese matures
slowly in ideal conditions. During a guided
visit with the master cheese makers,
you will have a chance to penetrate
the secrets of the noble Comté…
a 100% natural cheese. |

Born in 1921, it is recognised by 95% of French
people and adored by the entire planet:
125 portions are swallowed every second.
The star now has a home in the land where
it was born in Lons-le-Saunier. The museum
opened its doors in 2009 and tells the story of
Bel: There are 2350 square metres and more
than 600 objects in this museum, built to HQE
(high environmental quality) standards. Proof
that the Laughing Cow also loves the planet. |
